We’re gearing up for the biggest and best summer we’ve ever had at Fed Square, with the most packed schedule of events, movies, music, live sport, fitness, workshops and more that’s ever crossed the square.
You can relax and revitalise at Fed Oasis, our brand-new comfy seating and shaded areas, and order food – delivered to you in the square! – from one of our diverse and wonderful restaurants, bars and cafes, and enjoy classic films, live sport and live music by local Melbourne favourites all summer long.
We’ve partnered with ACMI for an outdoor cinema silent film series – Not-So-Silent Cinema – with live soundtracks by local bands and musicians, and we’re running free fitness sessions, guided workshops and our very own twist on mindful meditation – Mindful Fed-itation, hosted by hilarious local comedians.

Join us from 1pm every day in the square for Mindful Fed-itation. Friday’s are a extra special thanks to our pals at Laughscape. Enjoy 12 exclusive workshops by some of Melbourne’s best-loved local comedians, loud and proud on the Big Screen.

From Yoga to cocktail making, photography to philosophy, if there’s something you’ve always wanted to dip your toes into, now is your chance. Choose from our limited edition summer series, or a selection of weekly year-long classes, or attend them all!
23 January - 28 March
The Big Screen at Fed Square is getting put to what it was born for – all classic films, all summer long, all completely free, with comfy seating provided and even food delivered right to your lap.
8 February - 25 April
Fed Square is showcasing live sport all summer long – loud, proud and on the Big Screen. With prime seating provided and every parma you could want delivered right to your lap, nobody does it better.
26 February - 1 April
Fed Square is joining forces with ACMI for a match made in heaven: Not-So-Silent Cinema. Silent films with live soundtracks by incredible local artists.

From 7.30pm, we bring you all the glam, glitz and glitter of Sydney’s Mardi Gras, streaming live –thanks to SBS – on the Big Screen. And to celebrate, we’re giving away free rainbow icecream. So, come on down, dress up (if you want!) and make it a party at Fed Square!
*300 ice creams to be given away. Max 1 per person.

PHOTO 2021 International Festival of Photography invites the public to participate in Inside Out, the global participatory art project initiated by French artist JR that transforms messages of personal identity into works of art. The Inside Out project gives everyone a platform to speak their truth.
16 January - 6 February
See our Fed Live finalists live in the square. From hip hop to thrash pop, Fed Square is coming alive with free music. Take a seat on one of our new comfy outdoor Fed Oasis deck chairs or bean bags and soak up the vibes.
