Follow the clues in the Bupa Seek & Find treasure hunt
Pick up an activity map from the Atrium and follow the clues to different spots around Fed Square – keep an eye out and look for the blue! There’re seven hidden letters in Bupa Seek & Find trail that reveal a secret word. When you’ve cracked the code, scan the QR code to enter the draw to win a prize.
As you walk around the Square, you’ll discover interesting facts about keeping our bodies and our planet healthy. Share your favourite fact with us for an extra chance to win!
Make some music with The Plants
Get creative and make new music with The Plants, coming to Fed Square on the Swanston Street Forecourt. These unique musical instruments combine organic plant matter with digital sensors, so you can play and make music with textural waves and swelling sounds. Come along with your kids from 10am–3pm between 23–26 September or join a workshop to master the art of music-making with these fascinating instruments.
Workshops take place on Monday 23 September and Tuesday 24 September at 11am and 1pm. Limited places available, register here.
Take part in creating the Takenoko Weave House
Join Slow Art Collective these school holidays and help create the Takenoko Weave House. This interactive artwork uses simple, sustainable material like bamboo and recycled yarn to create a colourful installation that is brought to life by local kids and families.

Swap your toys at the Big Toy Swap
Looking for a fun and sustainable way to update your children’s toy box? Come and join a free toy swap at Fed Square! You can bring along up to six (lightly) used toys, games or books and swap them for something new-to-you. This free, community event is happening on Wednesday 2 October in The Edge in collaboration with Zero Waste Victoria, helping to keep toys out of landfill and in the hands of kids who will love them.
Get inspired at Young Earth Protectors
This fun and interactive program for kids is all about learning how to conserve and protect the planet. Led by sustainability educator and changemaker Kirsty Bishop-Fox, this educational program on Wednesday 2 October will talk about reducing waste and inspiring young audiences to protect our planet by making conscientious choices. This session is aimed at children aged 4-12. Register here.
