Getting There

To celebrate ACMI’s new Light: Works from Tate’s Collection exhibition, Fed Square will be bringing the party vibes with Friday Night Light!

Featuring free DJ acts and a vibrant outdoor light display from 6 till 9pm on select dates in June, July and September. Artists include Kelly Tee, Dirty Bird and DJ Duchess Kay.

Kelly Tee

Friday 17 June, 6pm–9pm | Main Stage

Working as a stylist within the realms of fashion, beauty and music for almost 10 years, UK born and bred Kelly Tee has made a seamless and inevitable transition into the DJ world.

In only a couple of years, Kelly has played some of the most iconic parties, venues, weddings, and corporate functions within the Australian circuit, impacting crowds with her high-energy presence and eclectic music taste.

Knowing intuitively how to work a crowd, you can expect nothing less than a great time, perfect vibes and a passion for playing.

Dirty Bird

Friday 24 June, 6pm–9pm | Main Stage

Squawking onto the scene, this queer duo is here to serve you looks and a grand time.

Not short of an ostrich feather or 7, Dirty Bird will be a visual sensation to delight the eye, awaken your ears and tickle your tail feather.

Two old time queer friends are reunited after many moons away and have joined wings to create a duo that will leave you hungrier than waiting in the line at KFC for a bucket of chicken.

Kaïra Cuvée

Friday 29 July, 6pm–9pm | Main Stage

Kaïra Cuvée unites the heart of Melbourne’s creative scene by providing fresh, classy sounds; seamlessly blending Trap, Rap, Afrobeats, House, RnB and Soul. Coming from a classically trained background in dance and AMEB piano, Kaïra evolves in musical environments.

Emerging onto the scene in 2019, Kaïra has successfully collaborated with VICE and Adidas, has had multiple mixes featured on JD Sports Radio and Triple J (The Kick On + MixUp) and frequents at Melbourne’s leading events and clubs. A deep appreciation for visual art, she has DJed at galleries including the newly opened Compendium and regularly during the NGV Summer Series. Her passionate, effervescent personality shines through during sets to create harmonious, unified environments.

Please note this performance is also part of our Fed Live: Dance Dystopia DJ line-up.

DJ Duchess Kay

Friday 30 September, 6pm–9pm | Main Stage

Stylish, energetic and highly infectious. Duchess Kay is a musical magician of the DJ scene. With over two hundred shows per year, Duchess Kay mixes genres like hands-in-the-air party tunes, R&B and Hip-Hop, funky disco and classic house, and fist pumping dance anthems. Her stellar performance has also landed her regular gigs at the Australian Grand Prix, and a special opening DJ set for Dannii Minogue’s “secret” warm up show at the GH Hotel.
