Mousiqa Bil Madina is a free community gathering, featuring local artists and Arabic sounds, which will be held at Fed Square on Saturday 9 May from 3pm until 7pm.
Curated by Lebanese-Australian tastemaker, broadcaster, producer, DJ and out-and-out legend, MzRizk, you can catch an amazing line-up of local artists and DJs throughout the day.

MzRizk mixes
MzRizk’s Arabian Persuasian mix includes classic, contemporary, remixes, edits and originals from various eras and styles.
The mix features legendary artists such as Fairuz, Oum Kalthoum, Ahmed Fakroun, Ihsan Al-Mounzer, The Spy from Cairo, Alsarah & The Nubatones and Ziad Rahbani.

Bayt Saleh – Abou Saleh
This creative duo is dedicated to reviving the past through cultural expression and artistic experiences.
Jacinta Elarmaly
Jacinta Elamaly will be singing Arabic classics alongside long-time collaborator MzRizk, performing over a DJ set that bridges live vocals with the dancefloor. They have performed together alongside Tarabeat at festivals including Womadelaide, and Strawberry Fields.
Kazaband
Rooted in Arabic musical traditions, this ensemble draws on influences from jazz, funk and contemporary global music.
MzRizk
Lebanese-Australian DJ, broadcaster, cultural curator and programmer, MzRizk’s genre-blending style seamlessly weaves house, disco, hip-hop, jazz, soul and Arabic rhythms, curating sets that are electric and unpredictable.
Sawa Music Band
This ensemble is dedicated to reviving classic Arabic songs through detailed musicianship and contemporary arrangements.
Mousiqa Bil Madina is on at Fed Square on Saturday 9 May from 3pm–7pm. The event is free and all are welcome.
