It’s the sad news that the Melbourne food-loving community never wanted to hear.

Covid-19 has made its mark and long-time favourite Lentil As Anything has announced it faces administration.

The organisation, with restaurants in Melbourne’s Abbotsford, St Kilda and Northcote and Sydney’s Newtown, operates a well-known pay-as-you-feel model that’s been serving the community with delicious, healthy vegan and vego options for the past 20 years, keeping hungry punters lining up for more and ensuring over 150,000 vulnerable Aussies within the midst are provided with wholesome and nutritious meals.

These restaurants, along with a catering service, food relief program and bricks-and-mortar shopfront, are facing a financial crisis… and the organisation needs your help!

Organisers have created a GoFundMe campaign, a crusade that was kicked off with a staggering 150k in donations in the first four days alone, proving just how paramount this much-loved institution is.

Head to Lentil As Anything’s GoFundMe page if you can spare a bean to chip in.

The Inconvenience Store Podcast

Before the sad news hit, and to celebrate a successful Sustainable September, we sat down with The Inconvenience Store’s Frida to chat going green and eating clean.

The Inconvenience Store is an offshoot of Lentil As Anything – a place where patrons pay whatever they feel their meal was worth for delicious cooking composed of food secondaries that would otherwise have been wasted.

Please listen to Frida’s passionate explanation of the importance of what they do and consider donating to their GoFundMe to help The Inconvenience Store, and Lentil As Anything, stay in business.
