Newell is a Naarm/ Melbourne-based performing artist known for their bold, genre-defying work that spans dance, theatre and experimental performance art. They have created solid queer prominence with their character DANDROGYNY. Career highlights include ABC’s You Can’t Ask That, Melbourne Festival, Melbourne Museum, Circus Oz, Opera Australia, Phillip Adams Balletlab, Dark MOFO and performing with Kylie Minogue. They also work as a teaching artist and creative mentor with St Martins Youth Arts Centre, VCA and House of Muchness.

Emma Maye Gibson (Betty Grumble)

Gibson is a Warrane/ Sydney-based storyteller and performance artist, often moving in a genre-mash up of ritual theatre, autobiography, cabaret, performance art and multi-media. Her works have been presented at major festivals throughout Australia, the US and Europe, including the Sydney Opera House, Glastonbury, Edinburgh Fringe, Berlin Fringe, Dark Mofo, Sydney WorldPride, RISING, AsiaTOPA, Perth and Adelaide Fringes, as well as MoMA, the AGNSW and MCA.

Stone Motherless Cold is an Arrernte drag gem, currently based in Naarm. Smooth and sensual, bold and graphic, this crystalline trophy posing as humanoid. She is a drag artist, producer, writer and visual artist, celebrating spaces of Blak queer futurism. Ms Cold is part of First Nations drag collective, MoCo. 1st Runner Miss First Nations 2021 and title winner of the VIC NAIDOC LGBTQIA+ 2019 event.

Fast Fashun

Fast Fashun is a group of creatives focused on the climate emergency. Based in Naarm/ Melbourne, they use theatre, art therapy and visual art to create durational and interactive installations and performances where audiences come face-to-face with the waste produced by the fast fashion industry.

The collective comprises of core members Teneille Clerke and Famous Artist Sebastian Berto and is supported by a wider artistic network of creatives and community members.
