Two of Australia’s most exciting bakeries, A.P Bakery and Oji House, come together for two delicious days of Flour Power.
A muffuletta levelled up with slices of shokupan sandwiching a wealth of coldcuts and good times; an attempt to make the world’s fanciest lamington, replete with four kinds of McKenzie’s coconut; a colomba that’s all about the excellence of almond flour, slivered almonds and flaked almonds; and a hulking choc-chip cookie that could well be a meal in itself.
The power of flour is undeniable, and if there’s anyone who’s going to push this essential baking ingredient to its outer limits, it has to be none other than the good folk at Sydney’s A.P Bakery and Melbourne’s very own Oji House. In one of the Festival’s most exciting collaborations yet, the team is set to rise to the occasion with never-before-seen bakes, cakes and cookies – all backed by McKenzie’s tried and tested baking products.
