Fed Square is going to light up the winter night with a bold, large-scale, immersive experience by French artist Cyril Lancelin.
Thursday July 15
Head on down for the launch of The Knot to be one of the first to see this incredible, immersive artwork never-before-seen in Australia by French artist Cyril Lancelin. To celebrate we’ve got live music, roving entertainment and giveaways from 4.30pm.
Thursday July 15–Sunday September 5
Enhance your sensory experience of The Knot with a special Knot-themed dish or drink. Sip a classic French martini, dine on a delicious rosewater rice pudding or go the whole-hog and enjoy a full-blown French-inspired six-course degustation: we’ve got it all! Plus, we’ll have heaps of tasty giveaways throughout The Knot season. Yum!

From French jazz classics through to heart-thumping electronica, each Frenchy Weekend features different live music acts to get you in the groove.
Every weekend, Fed Square’s Main Stage will play host to a rotating smorgasbord of live musical acts, preparing you for the mood of the Frenchy Weekends Film Festival film to follow.

Dance with the French cancan dancers, surrender to some of the world’s best DJ’s beats in improbable locations – travel the world through the magic of film.

Your Frenchy Weekends experience wouldn’t be complete without attending a special Frenchy Fed Free Workshop.
Learn the Dos and Don’ts of French etiquette, or how to impress your friends by hosting a très jolie party. Sip on mimosas as you learn to paint like Monet* or bring the kids to learn how to make a rouge (red), blanc (white) and bleu (er, blue) cockade to celebrate the French spirit of liberté, égalité and fraternité!
*This, alas we cannot guarantee, but keep trying!

The Winter Village is an alpine-inspired pop-up winter wonderland atop the Skyline Terrace at Fed Square. With Melbourne’s twinkling city lights as the backdrop, The Winter Village is set to be a landmark destination for a second season.
With a full season of events and activities to explore, The Winter Village is free to enter and open 7 days a week.
