This winter at Fed Square, enter a hair-raising, spine-tingling world – where we are watched, everywhere, all the time.
Our phones, our homes are listening. Our streets, our devices are watching. The Eyes are following you.
In our winter Anything But Square: Under Surveillance program, we playfully explore these murky feelings of awkwardness and intrigue – the push and pull of the desire to know and the desire to be deceived.
Enter: The Eyes. A colossal, sprawling sculptural dystopia of creepy-creepy eyes by artist studio Cool Shit, taking over the Square this winter.
Discover your own discomfort – as The Eyes watch you, watching them, watching you.
Check out the full program of activity below!
As you stand in the centre of Fed Square, an 8 metre-high sculpture of a head made of eyes – so many eyes! – looking down on you, what do you feel? Awkward? Afraid? Intrigued?
It’s time to dance up a storm, like we’re all at an End of the World party in a dystopian movie. We’re imagining something in between The Matrix and Metropolis. But with DJs. It’ll be wild.
As the enormous Big Brother … er, Big Screen – looks down on us all from on high this winter, we’ll keep you rooted to the spot with a tantalisingly terrifying line-up of spy and surveillance-themed films.
Fed Square is partnering with Cartoonito, a brand new entertainment destination just for little ones, and we are bringing you the Cartoonito Play Zone, a space where there’ll be plenty of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Calling all junior spies and cryptologists: we have a mission for you! You’ve been called to Fed Square to follow some secret clues to find some important artifacts and artworks.
Watch this space, as we’ll have more details on your mission soon… as well as some great prizes!
Shhhh! We’ve got a TOP SECRET. Our winter Anything But Square: Under Surveillance program of workshops is out. And it’s a doozy.
