The Atrium is a magnificent galleria of glass and steel and a peerless indoor venue for exhibitions, product displays, launches, art installations, showcases and markets.
The space – located directly opposite Melbourne’s famous Hosier Lane – is home to some of Melbourne’s most visited galleries, cafes and specialty stores, including The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia and NGV design store.
The central floor space is complemented by the Fracture Gallery, with the steel frame of the building providing excellent points for rigging installations. The Atrium also provides direct access to The Edge theatre, with the flexibility to use both venues as part of a larger festival, event or exhibition.
The Atrium features bespoke lighting that can be customised for your event.
A public exhibition space between the Atrium and Beer Deluxe, made of steel-framed glass fractals. The space is ideal for public exhibitions and decal installations.
Accessible via locked key, installations are protected from being touched, while able to be publicly seen 24/7.
Infrastructure and artworks can be suspended from the ceiling of The Atrium, forming a large open-air gallery.
Overlooking The Atrium, the Juliet Balcony can accomodate small choirs and performances.
Connecting Flinders Street to the Atrium is an open cantilevered space, offering protection from the elements and public accessibility.
The exterior of the cantilever can be used for large-scale decal installations while the undercover portion can be used as an entry point for a launch event, or to showcase branded hanging displays.
