Whether you’re a devotee of Qawwali, a lover of world music or a curious listener, let us introduce you to this powerful and hypnotic musical practise.

Qawwali is a form of Sufi devotional music. Come and hear masters of Qawwali perform a free concert at Fed Square this June, for A Night of Sacred Music for Eid.

The event will feature the world-renowned Pakistan-based master Qawwali musicians, brothers Fareed Ayaz and Abu Mohammed. Together with their ensemble, the brothers weave together hypnotic vocals rich in poetic and mystical symbolism, backed by harmonium, tabla, dholak and handclapping, seeking to transport audiences closer to the divine.
