Key information

When: Tuesday 15, Wednesday 16 or Thursday 17 April

Time: Half a day, afternoon

Cost: Free – just the price of your lunch or snacks (or BYO)

Booking information: Be sure to pre-book for Play Date by All the Queens Men (it’s free!)

Schedule

12pm – Grab a bite to eat at one of Fed Square restaurants, or BYO lunch. The kids will need some fuel for what’s in store!

12.30pm – Head to the Atrium, where you can join in a creative workshop – the kids can make their own colourful crown to wear in the dance party ahead.

1.30pm – It’s time for a Play Date! Head to The Edge to join Turtle and Sugar Rush for a dance party for kids and families. The kids will love the pop songs about being yourself, loving your body, celebrating different families, and using your imagination to the max!

2.30pm – Do the kids still have some energy to burn? Walk down to Birrarung Marr, where they can play at the playground.

3pm – Rest time! Walk up Birrarung Marr towards the Main Square, where you’ll be just in time to catch the second Studio Ghibli screening of the day, on the Big Screen. Relax in a deckchair to enjoy the film and catch your breath from a busy day of activity.

Optional

– Consider a Melbourne International Comedy Festival show at ACMI before lunch, such as Jon & Jero – The Forgotten Tales (10.30am) or The Greatest Magic Show! (11.35am). Bookings required, and there is a cost involved.

Prefer a morning activity? Play Date by All The Queens Men is also on at 11am.
