Little Food Festival: A Message from our Event Partner City of Melbourne

Lord Mayor of Melbourne, Sally Capp
Message from the Lord Mayor of Melbourne

Don’t let the name fool you. The Little Food Festival brings some of our biggest food advocates to town for important food discussions, epic food play and plenty of tasty testing.

The City of Melbourne is proud to support the free Little Food Festival – the nation’s first and only food festival created especially for kids.

We can’t wait to welcome our city’s youngest foodies, and their guardians, to explore healthy habits and sustainable solutions in the heart of Australia’s events capital.

Rally the friends and family these school holidays to learn more about the food we consume – from farm to fridge and beyond.

Thank you to the founding partners Sandro Demaio Foundation, Monash University and Fed Square, and all other partners, presenters, performers, stall holders, suppliers and volunteers for giving us a reason to connect and get creative around food.

Be sure to search What’s On Melbourne for more school holiday fun. It’s all happening, only in the city.

Message from CEO of VicHealth and Founder of the Little Food Festival

The festival had its biggest year yet in 2022, and we’re thrilled to be doing it all again at Fed Square with the hope of reaching even more kids and families.

Little Food Festival is such a unique festival where kids have fun, learn and fill up on delicious food for two special days in the school holidays.

We feel privileged to be able to create an event that can be open to everyone, caters to our little ones and has the ability to create the next generation of super foodies
