Yarra Plastic Paddle

See a life-sized kayak made entirely of plastic bottles in The Atrium Fracture Gallery, this Sustainable September.

This year, as part of a new partnership between Yarra Riverkeepers and FedSquare, Sustainable September will welcome the Yarra Plastic Paddle – a kayak made from plastic bottles and lids.

The initiative aims to raise awareness about the harmful lifecycle of single-use plastic and the role of waterways in transporting this litter across the landscape by visually showcasing the plastic flow in the local waterways.
