Welcome to Country

Melbourne Fringe acknowledges and respects the traditional owners and ancestors of the lands where our Festival takes place.

To welcome Melbourne Fringe Festival audiences to their country and officially launch the Festival, elders of Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri/Woiwurrung will perform a traditional Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony.

Come help us launch Melbourne Fringe 2018 by celebrating and acknowledging the rich history of art-making and communal celebration that’s happened on these lands of the Kulin Nation.
