Time Out Fed Square is located in the heart of Melbourne, where people come together every day. It’s the city’s cultural hub, where Time Out continues to be a favourite for locals and visitors, where the large outdoor dining area overlooks Swanston Street and the beautiful Southbank and city skyline, all underneath the iconic orange umbrellas.

Time Out is one of the few venues in the area which boasts all-day dining from an extensive international menu, 365 days a year. Whether it’s dinner before a show, drinks after an event or brunch over a catch up with friends, any time is a good time to take a Time Out. With a fantastic view of the city’s most popular outdoor screen, the venue is a fabulous spot to watch many of the world’s greatest sporting events live.

With Melbourne being the country’s coffee capital, visitors can get a cup of locally sourced, delicious coffee at Time Out, supplied by Code Black. The venue’s focus on local drinks and ingredients is evident throughout the whole menu, from the Victorian craft beers to the food.

Whatever your need – a quick coffee, leisurely cocktails or just a bite with friends – Time Out offers an all-day menu. Enjoy extensive share plates, gourmet pizzas and modern Australian mains like chicken parmigiana topped with hickory-smoked ham, or fish and chips made from Coldstream pilsner battered Lake’s Entrance flathead tails, to name a few.

The breakfast menu is served until 3:00 pm every day, so visitors can indulge in buttermilk pancakes or enjoy classics like eggs benedict until the afternoon.

Time Out’s thirst-quenchers are delicious summery drinks, with fresh fruit and soda over ice. As well as an extensive coffee and cocktail menu, visitors can also enjoy alcoholic warm drinks like Baileys Hot Chocolate, the Spiced Friar (with organic chai syrup mixed with Frangelico, warm milk and sprinkled cinnamon), The Jamaican (a double shot of espresso mixed with Tia Maria and Captain Morgan’s Spiced Rum) plus many more inventive concoctions.

Functions & Events

Time Out Café, Bar + Restaurant is available for private events, larger groups and functions on site. It’s ideal for birthdays, receptions, work parties and stand-up mezze cocktails and with its relaxed style for functions of 20 up to cocktail parties for 100 people. Menus are designed specifically for each function with a choice of finger food or something more formal if required.
