Tim Curry tribute screening: Clue

Join us in paying tribute to one of the all-time greats, with a free outdoor screening of the 1985 screwball comedy-whodunnit, Clue.

The loss of the truly iconic British star of stage and screen on 25 August 2026 has left a big, Dr Franken-N-Furter sized hole in our hearts.

To celebrate his life, we’re screening the 1985 cult-comedy-whodunnit, Clue, based on the boardgame, Cluedo.

Set in 1954, the film follows six strangers who are invited to a New England mansion on a dark and stormy night under mysterious circumstances, where they’re greeted by the Butler, Wadsworth, played by Tim Curry.

Why are they all here? What secrets are they hiding? And who will leave alive?

The ensemble screwball comedy features a brilliant all-star cast of comedy acting legends, including Madeline Kahn as the black widow Mrs White, Christopher Lloyd as the lecherous Professor Plum, Michael McKean as the accident-prone Mr Green, Lesley Ann Warren as the street-smart Miss Scarlet, Eileen Brennan as the flamboyant society dame, Mrs Peacock, and Martin Mull as the nervy Colonel Mustard.

It’s jumps, lightning strikes, murders galore – and perhaps even more than one possible ending.

We’ll have the deckchairs out but be sure to bring a blanket and rally some other Tim Curry fans to enjoy this celebration of his life and legacy – and the many laughs he brought us throughout his 60+ year career.
