Fed Square is proud to be hosting a heap of virtual, livestreamed and live-in-the-square activity as part of VicHealth’s This Girl Can week, from 22 – 28 March. There’re lots of fun options to try, from FAST fitness classes, yoga, tai chi and Bollywood dance through to a cultural walk along the river for mums with bubs in prams. Tai Chi is a branch of ancient Chinese martial arts. It has been practised for general health and fitness since the 16th century. Tai Chi is a tranquil, gentle and pleasurable means of attaining and maintaining health and harmony in mind and body. Anyone, regardless of age or level of fitness, can practice and benefit from attending Tai Chi classes.
A 30-minute dance class with a Wurundjeri person on country learning the cultural moves and exploring the six layers of country. Djirri Djirri Dancers are the only Wurundjeri female dance group, and also Traditional Custodians of Narrm (Melbourne).
