How much sugar will an individual consume in their lifetime?

An eye-opening exhibit is challenging visitors to rethink their sugar intake. A massive mountain made entirely of bags of sugar is being constructed to show just how much sugar the average person consumes in their lifetime. Attendees can learn more about hidden sugars in their food and visualize what their lifetime sugar intake could potentially be.

Discover more about how sugar affects the body and health: Track the path of sugar from the first sip of a sugar-sweetened beverage to its journey throughout the body. What does it do once it’s inside? How can too much sugar cause health problems?

Test your knowledge about sugar: Do you know the history of sugar? How much sugar do people eat in other parts of Australia or around the world? What are hidden sugars, and how can they be found in different foods and drinks? How much sugar are you eating daily? Get ready to test yourself and discover more with the interactive quiz.

Get hands-on with sugar: Dive into hands-on science experiments to see sugar in action and how it can affect the inside of the body.

Receive some awesome tips for making healthier food choices without missing out on the yummy stuff.
