A spectacular performance that will have you singing and groovin along to the fast tempo, funk and soul rhythm of the 70’s disco era will be held at Deakin Edge on Saturday 23 November at 3pm and 8pm. You will hear 80 amazing voices that will perform some of the greatest hits that will take you back to sequined gowns, jumpsuits and Afro hairstyles! Wear your best sparkly disco outfit and join us in what will be a fun and entertaining event.
The Melbourne Singers of Gospel is a community choir of diverse voices that form a euphoric, rythmic and spiritual sound inspired by the massesd gospel choirs of the USA. Music Director Dr Darren Wicks creates performances that convey stories of hope, joy and reflection through the rich harmonies and expressive movement of over 80 talented voices.The repertoire includes an Australian expression of the gospel tradition with songs of soul and purpose, jazz, blues and contemporary music that is captivating to the audience and is guaranteed to be an uplifting experience for all.
