Getting There

Learn about and celebrate our insect friends through immersive play – where puppetry, performance and visual art collide.

Have you ever considered how much we rely on insects? Without these tiny alien looking lifeforms, life on earth would be very different.

Celebrate the miracle of flight and metamorphosis at Butterfly House, where you can meet a giant Praying Mantis or make friends with a caterpillar.

Butterfly House is modeled on nature, where nothing is wasted. Create your own butterfly from recycled chip packets and release it to fly inside the butterfly chamber.

Take home a seedling to plant in your garden and wait for the real butterflies to arrive, helping to reverse the trend of disappearing butterflies and habitats.

Through puppetry and performance, we will magnify the unseen and explore the incredible relationships that lie at the bottom of the food chain.

Butterfly House is a great reminder that all living things are connected, and the more we care for these tiny creatures, the more they care for us.

Presented by Fed Square.
