Over a single evening, we present two sci-fi action thrillers on the Big Screen – connected by their use of innovative techno-based scoring by masters of the form.
The 2018 animated superhero film Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse features original music by Daniel Pemberton, full of gritty soundscapes grounded by gutsy techno and synth-based beats, soaring operatic sounds and orchestral textures, while the 2010 sci-fi Tron: Legacy features an epic 85-piece orchestral-based and electronic score, composed by electro music innovators, Daft Punk.
Whether you’re a sci-fi, thriller or film score fan, this back-to-back film pairing has something for you.

Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of virtual world-designer Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into a virtual world where his father has been living for 20 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant Quorra (Olivia Wilde), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a cyber universe that has become much more dangerous. Meanwhile, the malevolent program CLU, who dominates the digital world, plans to invade the real world and will stop at nothing to prevent their escape.

When the two Spider-Man variants team up against The Spot, a powerful supervillain bearing a grudge, Miles discovers a shocking secret that puts the entire multiverse in danger. In the battle to stop the dimension-hopping menace, will Miles embrace his fate or allow the universe to fall apart?
