The Atrium

Surface Paradise by Lisa Carroll X Georgia Chapman draws inspiration from the lively 17th-century salon experience—a place where social gatherings were safe spaces for debate, collaboration, and learning.

Their contemporary interpretation breathes life into this historical concept, offering a dynamic hub where traditional textile techniques merge with modern technology. Much like the salons of old, Surface Paradise is not just a retail space; it’s a vibrant arena for demonstrations, workshops, and lively discussions, fostering a sense of community and expanding perspectives in the realm of textile craftsmanship.

The Pop-up Salon can be found opposite the entrance to The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia in The Atrium.

Surface Paradise by Lisa Carroll x Georgia Chapman is proudly taking part in the 2024 PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival Independent Program, running concurrently with the festival to offer an integrated and enriching experience.
