Watch the Australian Open on the Big Screen, check out exclusive tennis-themed experiences – with a series of on-site activations throughout the tournament.
During the Australian Open, Fed Square is your gateway to the action down at Melbourne Park.
Alongside the screening of the AO on our Big Screen, you can explore various activations.
At New Balance at Fed Square, you can relax, listen to local DJ sets, grab a coffee and play lawn bowls with Australian cricketer Pat Cummins – or get your hair cut or nails done, inspired by the styles of tennis icons like Jordan Thompson and Coco Gauff.
There’s the AO Shop at Fed Square – a pop-up where you buy exclusive tennis-inspired art prints by local artists and shop for official AO merch.
If you’re on the way or coming back from Melbourne Park, check out the new KIA Tasman model on Birrarung Marr Walk.
Other pop-up activations include the World of Warcraft: Midnight House & Lounge in the Upper Square, where you and your party can dress up and watch the tennis from the comfort of Azeroth (via Fed Square).
Don’t forget to check out our range of restaurants and bars, where you get some respite from the heat, and grab a cool drink and a bite to eat throughout the AO.
Head down to the Main Square this summer to watch the Australian Open Grand Slam, live and free on the Big Screen with live coverage from Channel 9.
The first serve of Australian Open 2026 begins early, with the AO Shop at Fed Square opening from 10 January, one week before the Happy Slam main draw officially kicks off. Explore the gallery of exclusive tennis-themed art prints by local artists and the range of official AO merch. Pop by for your chance to score exciting giveaways, including limited edition Daniels Donuts (exclusive to this pop-up) – and try your hand at pickle ball for your chance to win merch!
From Snips & Sips to Bowls & Beats, New Balance at Fed Square is a pop-up playground that takes what makes Melbourne tick and mashes it together. Play lawn bowls with Aussie cricketer Pat Cummins while kicking back to beats by Hope St Radio DJs. Have your nails done with designs inspired by American tennis star and nail flare icon Coco Gauff – or grab a coffee by Melbourne roasters, Supreme, while the team from Brother Wolf Barbers fashion you your own mullet, like Australian tennis player Jordan Thompson.
If you’re after a cool bevvie while watching the games, Beer Deluxe will also be screening all of the games. You can book a table, or just pop-in throughout the AO.
Transport Hotel will also be screening the games, so you can drop in to enjoy a drink while you catch some of the action. Taxi Kitchen also offers a premium contemporary Australian dining experience, ideal for corporate entertaining or an elevated lunch with top views, during the AO.
Need a drink or a feed while you’re in the Square? Check out our full range of bars and restaurants open throughout the AO – from contemporary Japanese, to riverside beers and pizzas, there’s something for every taste and budget.
