New Year Street Feasts
This New Year’s Eve we’re celebrating with Street Feasts – and Fed Square will be turning inside out, extending our dining footprint across the Square, so you can ring in the New Year with the best food and drink our city has to offer, right at its beating heart.
With everything from snack and sip options like champagne and freshly shucked oysters or a craft beer-matched bento box with lobster roll and caviar and crab tostadas – through to epic Middle Eastern banquets – there’s a Street Feast that will suit your food mood this NYE.

9pm-12am
Get the gang together this New Year’s Eve and snack and sip your way into 2022. Get around Beer Deluxe’s Brew to Box Bento of epic beer eats, matched with three craft tinnies of your choice and a cheeky cocktail on arrival.
6pm-8pm | 9pm-12am
Big Esso and Mabu Mabu owner and chef Nornie Bero characterises her New Year celebration as “Blak Glitter”, and is backing it up with a fabulous banquet, drag show and DJ set. Expect a winning fusion of Indigenous food and live entertainment to send you into the New Year on a high.
Kick off the night with complimentary bubbles before diving into a five-course feast rich in native ingredients. There’s also a delicious plant-based option for vegan and vegetarian guests. Blak Glitter will be a night to remember.
5:30pm-12am
Wave goodbye to the year that was with a Mediterranean-inspired menu at Hero. Showcasing the simple, refined confidence we’ve come to expect from Karen Martini, the dinner will encompass the very best of Victorian produce, in a free-flowing, grazing-style feast of appetisers, entrées, main courses and desserts.

Mama is cooking up a Middle Eastern storm in Fed Square this New Year’s Eve. Round up the nearest and dearest and be sure to come hungry: an eight-course procession of mezze and meat awaits.
