Spring Racing at Fed Square
Head down to Fed Square to catch all the action from this year’s Spring Racing Carnival and score some great food and beverage giveaways!
We’ll have our comfy deckchair seating and umbrellas out, our famous astroturf circles dotted around the square for your picnic-style gatherings – and with the sun shining, it’s the perfect time to say hello again and celebrate all Melbourne has to offer!
For the Big Four race days (Derby Day, the Melbourne Cup, Oaks and Stakes Days), we’ve got some smashing giveaways to woo you down to the Square.

30 October
Head down to Riverland at Fed Square on Derby Day, and for the first 50 people (limit one per person) to say the code word ‘Filly‘, you’ll receive a free Spritz (Aperol, Grapefruit or Pornstar Spritz) care of Fed Square. Bookings Essential.

2 November
Head down to Big Esso by Mabu Mabu at Fed Square on Melbourne Cup Day, and for the first 50 people (limit one per person) to say the code word ‘Giddy Up‘, you’ll receive a free Native Cocktail and small share plate care of Fed Square. Bookings Essential.

4 November
On Oaks Day, the first 50 people (limit one credit per booking) to book at Hero will receive a $50 credit towards their meal/drink when they dine care of Fed Square. Must dine prior to 24 December. Simply add the code word OAKS to the special request box when booking and the team at Hero will confirm if you are 1 of the lucky 50 people.

6 November, collect from 11am on Stakes Day
Enjoy a complimentary picnic with Transport Hotel this Stakes Day! The first 50 people (limit one per customer) to visit Transport and say the code word ‘Jockey’ will receive a free Stakes Day Picnic Hamper for one, worth $50, to enjoy while watching the race. The hamper includes:
- Fresh bread – mini baguette
- Cured salmon with horseradish crème fraiche
