Speedrun Weekend at ACMI

A weekend of nail-biting videogame speedruns by some of Australia’s top competitors. Speedrunning is a practice where extremely skilled videogame players compete to complete games and challenges in the fastest time possible, often using bugs and glitches along the way.

Following on from the success of the demonstrations at ACMI during Melbourne International Games Week (MIGW) 2024 and presented in partnership with AusSpeedruns, this Speedrun Expo Weekend includes three sessions with a variety of Australian and international games, featuring some of the nation’s fastest runners competing for records and recognition.
