Sounds of Aotearoa, with SIX60
Get ready for Sounds of Aotearoa, celebrating some of New Zealand’s best established and emerging talent, in a free, all-ages gig at Fed Square.
With a stellar lineup from Aotearoa/ New Zealand, the night will be headlined by the chart-topping SIX60. Hailing from humble beginnings in Dunedin and renowned in their home country, this five-piece band has skyrocketed to global fame with record-breaking ticket sales and multi-platinum-selling albums. Their ‘SIX60 Saturdays’ tour drew over 50,000 fans at Auckland’s Eden Park Stadium, making them the world’s biggest live act during the Covid-19 pandemic. The band, formed by university friends, blends diverse influences with soul, rock and reggae.
SIX60 will be supported by Ladi6, bringing her distinct fusion of soul, dancehall, funk and groove; Muroki, the Raglan-born reggae and R&B sensation; and powerhouse pop singer-songwriter RIIKI REID.

Ladi6 is a contemporary R&B singer and rapper. Following the success of 2013’s Automatic, the artist, with partner Parks and band members, embraced risk through The Alpha Sessions with Red Bull. The EP reflects this improvisational spirit, featuring six tracks. With this release, Ladi6 embarked on a transcendent musical journey, blending instinct with meticulous songcraft.
Muroki, the Raglan-born artist, gained recognition with the platinum hit Wavy and a debut album supported by Benee and Elton John in 2020. His EP Dawn featured chart-topping tracks, showcasing his hypnotic voice over roots-based pop. Blending Kenyan and Coromandel roots, his music weaves rhythmic grooves influenced by global sounds.
RIIKI REID, an emerging force in music, combines powerhouse vocals, whimsical metaphors and mischievous charm. Formerly known as Riiki, her indie-pop project gained over three million streams on Spotify. Now, as RIIKI REID, she opens a new chapter, infusing alternative-rock influences into her sound. A multi-talented artist, RIIKI REID is a rising star on the global music scene.
