The Royal Family Dance Crew
A Mega-Crew founded in 2011 by Parris Goebel, they are known for their unique style known as “Polyswagg” – a mix of culture, confidence and dance. Dominating the dance scene from their inception, they won three World Hip-Hop Dance Championships back-to-back from 2011 to 2013.
Their viral dance videos caught the attention of major pop players, leading to their choreographing and performing in Justin Bieber’s Sorry videoclip in 2015, which has racked up more than 4 billion views worldwide on YouTube.
In 2020 they performed with J.Lo at the Super Bowl halftime show, followed by a halftime performance in 2023 with Rihanna, further solidifying their mainstream global fame. Today, The Royal Family Dance Crew is a household name. Regularly touring worldwide, they continue to foster and launch the careers of dancers all around the world.
Kween Kong
Thomas Charles Fonua (he/him, and as Kween Kong she/her) is a Samoan–Tongan interdisciplinary artist, choreographer, cultural strategist and internationally recognised drag icon. Born and raised in South Auckland, Fonua’s creative lineage is shaped by Pacific matriarchal leadership, communal responsibility and embodied storytelling. He trained and performed as a principal dancer with Black Grace and later Australian Dance Theatre, touring globally and developing a movement language grounded in precision, strength and ancestral memory.
As Kween Kong, he is known for fusing contemporary dance, cultural ceremony and theatrical spectacle. He emerged on the global stage as a finalist on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under (Season 2) and later represented Oceania on Drag Race Global All Stars (2024), earning acclaim for performance integrity, cultural grounding and fierce stage presence.
Lady Shaka
Lady Shaka is an Afro Pasifika DJ based in London whose musical selection is a representation of both her queer identity as a femme queen and her connection to the moana (ocean) and her diaspora.
Lady Shaka is a part of the new generation of young Pasifika DJs and producers re-indigenising the mainstream with music that is both Pasifika and ancestral.
Lady Shaka is known for her work as the director and curator of Pulotu Underworld and work with collectives Filth, Misery and Juicebox. She has featured on platforms such as Boiler Room and Keep Hush and has worked with artists and brands such as IAMDDB, Stella McCartney and Ed Curtis.
HALFQUEEN
HALFQUEEN is a DJ whose sets are just as unapologetic and empowering as her presence. Specialising in the genre bending sounds of global club, she’s driven to connect by conjuring collective nostalgia, unbridled joy and ass shaking.
Rooted in the experience of her Fijian and Pākehā bloodlines, HALFQUEEN’s background and native city of Tāmaki Makaurau/ Auckland, has influenced a confluence of sound that is ever-evolving, musically speaking, into a local and global sense of diaspora; connecting the dots between genres and islands worldwide.
She’s supported artists such as YG, Sister Nancy, Cakes Da Killa, Marc Rebillet, Earthgang and Gavsborg, and has played sets at Glastonbury, Horst Music & Arts Festival and Fabric, Oil Shenzhen, Cakeshop Seoul and Circus Tokyo.
JessB
JessB (Jess Bourke) is an Auckland-based rapper and songwriter who has become one of the most dynamic voices in Aotearoa’s hip-hop scene. A former professional netballer-turned-artist, she broke out in 2018 with the release of her debut EP Bloom and has since built a global following through high-energy performances and sharp, confident lyricism.
Blending hip-hop with influences from R&B, dancehall and afrobeats, JessB has toured internationally and collaborated with artists including Stan Walker, Baker Boy and Kranium.She won Best New Zealand Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards and continues to build momentum with new releases and festival appearances across Australia and beyond.
Rubi Du
Rubi Du is an Auckland reggae and dancehall artist known for her powerful live shows and rich, bass-driven sound. Formerly performing as SilvaMC, she has established herself as a leading voice in Aotearoa’s roots and dancehall scene, sharing stages with acts such as Fat Freddy’s Drop, Che Fu and Shapeshifter.
Drawing on her Caribbean heritage and Rastafarian upbringing, Rubi Du blends melodic vocals with heavy rhythms to create music that connects dancefloor energy with reggae tradition
Neo Sun + Pasefika Vitoria Choir
Neo Sun is an electronic music project which boldly explores and reimagines the unique sounds of the Pacific – a field sometimes described as Lavawave. Starting life within the family villages of Samoa, the project has since grown to encompass further musical collaborations across Polynesia and beyond. Incorporating inventive interpretations of traditional island standards, Neo Sun connects Pasefika culture with electronic music and sonic experimentation.
For this special performance at Fed Square, Neo Sun will be joined by the Pasefika Vitoria Choir, collaborating on newly developed works created specifically for this event.
