You’re invited to participate in this durational interactive event to map and celebrate human truth.

The Square is an act of radical participation — a durational art event that invites the public into a fun and powerful experiment of shared truth-telling. Hosted by the young artists of House of Muchness, this interactive experience sits somewhere between performance, social mapping, and civic census.

Inside The Square is a simple format: A rolling list of statements is read aloud and participants respond not with words but with movement. They step into one of only three zones — “Yes,” “No,” or “Maybe” — aligning their bodies with their beliefs, habits, and memories. We will tap into the personal and global, the meaningful and humorous. From “I have cried today” to “I know how to do a good cartwheel,” each new statement redraws the human map.

The event is shaped by a spontaneous community. Attendees can choose to observe, offer their own prompts, or step into The Square to participate directly. At times the experience is just for children, at other times the invitation is open to all ages. It’s always family friendly to witness. There are no follow-up questions or consequences. No need to justify or explain your position. Ten seconds later, the moment moves to the next. But what’s revealed in that flash is special- A spectrum of human experience laid bare. Sometimes you’re the only one standing in your zone. Sometimes you’re surrounded.

The Square is a gift to its community: An open and friendly space to see and be seen.

This gathering breaks down binaries, bypasses echo chambers, and celebrates contradiction and complexity. In a time of growing division, this is a space for proximity. We will find joy together and discover that we might not be as far apart as we think.

Come and step into a physical conversation that offers a little hope, a little honesty, and an avenue to be many things at once. Where will you stand?
