Podcast: Celebrate India’s Dr. Arun Sharma

Podcasts

Diwali is emblematic of everything Fed Square represents in so many ways – a meeting of diversity in celebration, where all are welcome to share and enjoy music, food, dance, culture and more.

Dr Arun Sharma is Chairman of Celebrate India, the backbone of Diwali at Fed Square, and a titan of the cultural festival world. We were lucky enough to speak with the big man himself – that’s on Anything But Square, the Fed Square podcast.

About Fed Square

World-class art galleries and installations. A diverse range of food and drink. Thrilling, extraordinary events that capture the hearts of Melburnians year after year. Fed Square is anything but square. Since opening in 2002, Fed Square has seen more than 100 million visits and been named the 6th Best Public Square in the World. Frankly, we’re slaying out here and it’s nice to be recognised.

Victorian Festival of Diwali
Past Event
Despite the challenging times Celebrate India Inc. remained committed to organise Diwali celebrations if not the normal at Fed Square then virtually, to spread some joy and positivity in the community.  Considering the restrictions it is going to be a Virtual Diwali this year. So please join us for the celebrations on 7th November.  This year’s program will include many talented artists from Victoria, interstate and India. They will bring to you the very colourful folk, traditional, classical dances and live music performances which will transport you to the rolling hills and valleys of Uttarakhand, the vibrant Gujarat, majestic Rajasthan, glorious Malwa region, vivacious Maharastra, robust green fields of Haryana and Punjab, the divine temples of Orissa and Southern India.   This Diwali we’ll be paying a special tribute to an extremely talented young actor, a brilliant mind, an environmentalist, a humanitarian, an inspiration to many, the late Sushant Singh Rajput.   Tune in via the live-stream below at 5:30pm Saturday 7 November.
