This Friday is Green Friday at Fed Square. Get your hands on a free plant to care for in your garden or add greenery to your balcony.

This gift is thanks to the team behind Laak Boorndap – a new garden that will bring more green space and biodiversity to the Melbourne Arts Precinct.

A selection of young plants available, ranging from flowering shrubs and beautiful ground covers to long native grasses and succulents. They are all drought tolerant and require either full sun or semi-shade to thrive.

Tips to care for your plant:

All plants are either full sun or semi-shade tolerant. Given we are in summer, be sure to get your plant in the ground or a pot quickly and then water daily until established.
