September 19 is World Batman Day, so we’re celebrating by screening some of your fave animated and live action Batman films over three afternoons.
Dress up (if you like!), grab a deckchair, and settle in for the bat-ride.
Monday 21 September, 3pm | 1hr 41 mins | 1966 | USA
Based on the 1960s TV series, Batman: The Movie stars original cast members Adam West and Burt Ward as the dynamic duo, and they fight to save Gotham City from its four most powerful supervillains: the Catwoman, the Riddler, the Joker and the Penguin.
Bat-full of all the bat-tastic devices and bat-puns the original series was known for, it’s guaranteed laughs for the whole family.

This cult-favourite was made by the same animation team as the classic Batman: The Animated Series (1992–1995) and widely makes lists of top Batman films of all time. In Mask of the Phantasm, the caped crusader faces a caped vigilante called the Phantasm.

Produced by Christopher Miller and Phil Lord (The LEGO Movie), and directed by Chris McKay (Robot Chicken), this is fast-pacing, wise-cracking, satirical tribute to the character and film franchise, as Batman attempts to overcome his greatest fear while saving Gotham City from the Joker’s latest scheme.
