Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival

The Nike Melbourne Marathon Festival returns in 2026, with participants from far and wide set to hit the pavement on 10 and 11 October. 

In a line-up of five distances, racegoers will start at Batman Avenue, and will pace out the courses through the heart of the city and iconic Melbourne locations providing the perfect backdrop, including Flinders Street Station, Albert Park Lake, and finishing amongst the roaring crowds of the Melbourne Cricket Ground – a finish line like no other.

This year’s events include the Nike Melbourne Marathon (42.195km), Nike Wheelchair Marathon (42.195km), Nike Half Marathon (21.1km), SriLankan Airlines 10km, Dairy Farmers 5km, Chobani 3km, and Bupa Healthy Cities 1km Mini Marathon.

Fed Square will be screening all of the marathon action from Saturday and Sunday on the Big Screen, DJs will be spinning the best tunes, and there will be a merch store on Swanston St Forecourt so you can purchase all of the best long distance running gear going around.

Please note that there will be multiple road closures in place throughout the city on Saturday and Sunday, please refer to the Melbourne Marathon website for further information.
