Celebrate the launch of the NGV Kids Summer Festival.
To kick off the NGV Kids Summer Festival and celebrate the Cats & Dogs exhibition at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia, come along to a live dog show in the Main Square, jump into a kids’ workshop or catch a film on the Big Screen.
During the day, be sure to head in to see the Cats & Dogs exhibition at NGV Australia, and stay to enjoy an evening screening of the comedy favourite Best in Show (2000), starring Christopher Guest, Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy, at Fed Square’s outdoor cinema.
From cattle dogs to lap dogs, divine felines to the black cats of superstition, Cats & Dogs explores humanity’s deep connection to these animals through more than 250 works of art and design. For one-day only during NGV Kids Summer Festival, kids go free with any adult ticket purchase.
We will be giving out free delicious ice creams until stocks last.

From the antics of Matilda, the pound puppy, to the athletic feats of the super dogs, kids of all ages will learn about the amazing roles dogs play in our lives and discover how we can be responsible dog owners.
