Fed Square is transforming into the ultimate NFL fan destination, as part of a free, family-friendly celebration to soak up the excitement of the NFL’s historic arrival in Melbourne.
Whether you’re a lifelong NFL supporter or discovering the game for the first time, come together at Fed Square to soak up the excitement of the NFL’s historic arrival in Melbourne. The action kicks off on Sunday 6 September with the Melbourne Cheer Challenge, as the San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleaders take over the Square and lead Victorians in an attempt to break the world record for the largest cheerleading dance.
Then Melbourne End Zone brings two days of NFL action with games on the Big Screen, family-friendly entertainment, free activations, live entertainment and NFL docos screening after dark – with SEN broadcasting live from the precinct across both days.
On game day, catch a special drumline performance bringing the energy to the Main Square and Birrarung Marr Walk from 9am to 10am.
It’s free, it’s for everyone and it’s all happening at Fed Square.
Join the legendary San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush Cheerleaders as they lead Victorians in an attempt to break the world record for the largest cheerleading dance. This free community event is open to all ages and abilities, making it the perfect way to celebrate with family and friends while becoming part of Melbourne sporting history.

Fed Square transforms into an NFL live site across two days. Catch the Seattle Seahawks v New England Patriots game on the Thursday, then on Friday 11 September, we’ll be screening the Los Angeles Rams v San Francisco 49ers game, live from the MCG.
Immerse yourself in the NFL atmosphere with interactive experiences, including an NFL ESPN on Disney+ punting challenge, Four’N Twenty cornhole game, Toyota Tundra display and merchandise giveaways, and live entertainment. On game day, catch the drumline bringing the energy to the Main Square and Birrarung Marr Walk from 9am to 10am.
The Melbourne End Zone action continues after dark with two nights of big-screen NFL storytelling from 6pm, bringing together standout football documentaries and stories.
Ahead of gameday at the MCG, members of the 49ers Faithful will “paint the town red” by packing Transport Bar to get ready for the first-ever NFL game in Australia against the Los Angeles Rams.
