Enjoy a performance by New Zealand Youth Choir and discover waiata-a-ringa (traditional Māori action songs) in a workshop led by members of the group. This Australian tour marks the end of this choral cycle with the choir who will their perform repertoire in the foyer of the Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia. This is your chance to see the choir on your home turf. Call your family, bring your mates, this will be one glorious musical performance!

This is a free event with two performance times on 3 December at 11.30am and 1pm.

About the New Zealand Youth Choir

The New Zealand Youth Choir comprises fifty 18 to 25-year-old singers and operates on a 3-year audition cycle. Since its formation in 1979 the choir has established a reputation for consistency, energy and excellence. To date, the NZ Youth Choir has presented more than 400 public concerts, sung for royalty, supported the Rolling Stones, and staged twelve international tours with many of the singers going on to professional careers in music. The choir also competes around the globe, winning many titles, including ‘Choir of the World’ at the prestigious International Music Eisteddfod in Llangollen, Wales.
