Since 2002, we’ve been hosting small-time buskers to big-name performers from the Main-stage to the banks of the Yarra River. Transcending generations and genres, we’ve seen Opera to Beat-boxing and everything in between.
We’re dedicated to supporting the Victorian music community and, in anticipation of Fed Live, the biggest music news Melbourne is soon to hear, we’ve dipped into the archives to take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of the unique and incredible performances the square has seen over the years.

World-class art galleries and installations. A diverse range of food and drink. Thrilling, extraordinary events that capture the hearts of Melburnians year after year. Fed Square is anything but square. Since opening in 2002, Fed Square has seen more than 100 million visits and been named the 6th Best Public Square in the World. Frankly, we’re slaying out here and it’s nice to be recognised.
