Melbourne String Ensemble presents: The Seasons 2 featuring Stefanie Farrands

In collaboration with acclaimed First Nations Composers, Melbourne String Ensemble, Melbourne’s leading youth string orchestra, presents a program of new works by Aaron Wyatt and Brenda Gifford alongside classics inspired by seasons from around the globe.

MSE welcomes back alumnus Stefanie Farrands, principal violist of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, to premiere Wyatt’s Concerto for Viola & String Orchestra.

Supported by the City of Melbourne’s Arts Grants, The Seasons 2 forms part of the MSE Seasons commissioning project that fosters connections to community, culture and our environment; the project explores how we tell stories through music and how music can create narratives that influence how we see.
