Fed Square is Melbourne Food & Wine Festival’s hub in the heart of the city this March.

All day and into the night, Fed Square will become a magnet for food-loving Melburnians and visitors, celebrating everything that makes our city delicious, with a strong focus on approachability. If you’ve missed out on tickets to other festival events, or just want to join the fun on the spur of the moment, Fed Square is the perfect way to experience MFWF, no bookings necessary.

Dan's Diner

Lunch, dinner and drinks, 15-24 March | Swanston St Forecourt

MFWF are teaming up with Dan Murphy’s and an all-star line-up of talented people called Dan – including Brae’s Dan Hunter, Sixpenny’s Dan Puskas and Yakimono’s Daniel Wilson – to reboot the classic diner for a 2024 experience you won’t want to miss.

A Great Australian Fish Tale

12pm-5pm, 17 March | Taxi Kitchen

Tony Twitchett and John Sussman come together once again to create a truly spectacular dining experience with a celebration of Australia’s premier wild-caught seafood in downtown Melbourne.

Flavours of Fed Square

6pm-8.45pm, 20 March | Chocolate Buddha, Taxi Kitchen and Victoria by Farmer's Daughters

How well do you know Fed Square? Experience Melbourne’s gathering place like never before on a food lovers’ tour, enjoying a bite and a glass of something special at three of its best restaurants, and meet the chefs.

A First Nations Culinary Journey: Nornie Bero x Nico Albert Williams

6pm-9pm, 21 March | Big Esso by Mabu Mabu

Join Nornie and Nico, two powerhouse female First Nations chefs collaborating for the first time exclusively for MFWF. Over a feast of 5 courses at Big Esso by Mabu Mabu, Nornie and Nico will share personal stories about their food culture and journey.

Baker's Dozen

From 11am, 23-24 March | Main Square

A large-format celebration of Melbourne’s obsession with cakes and baking returns, bringing together a group of the city’s finest bakers and cakers, including Baker Bleu, Black Star, Bread Club, Holy Sugar, Kudo, Lune, Mali Bakes, Monforte Viennoisserie, Tarts Anon, The Flour and To Be Frank, for an even huger two days.

Celebrity Sausage

From 11am, 23-24 March | Main Square

The great Aussie tradition of putting a snag on sliced white meets the ingenuity of some of our best-loved performers, entertainers and cooks: more celebrity, more sausage, with thanks to Bakers Delight.

The Pizza Sessions

11am-8pm, 23 March & 11am-6pm, 24 March | Main Square

MFWF partners with pizza-oven firebrands Gozney to create approachable and fun pizza good times with guest talents like Joel Bennetts (Fish Shop and Burger Park, Sydney), Ellie Bouhadana (Hope St Radio), Casey Wall (Capitano, Bar Liberty).

The Festival Stage

From 11am, 23-24 March | Main Stage

A celebration of local produce, presented by Vic Grown, full of music and family-friendly entertainment, all free, all fun, and complemented by (of course) great eating and drinking.
