Forget Melbourne’s monochromatic stereotype. Discover designers who embrace bold hues and textures.
Defying Melbourne’s stereotypical all-black uniform, learn about the designers and influencers who go big with colour.
In collaboration with Melbourne Fashion Week, this next Melbourne Conversations event flips the script on Melbourne’s monochromatic stereotype by spotlighting style icons who fearlessly embrace colour. From bold hues to intricate textures, these outfits are reflections of personal taste, identity, sub-culture affiliation and cultural diversity through colour and texture.
With host Sally Mackinnon, celebrate the breadth of fashion culture in the city with Denni Francisco, creative director of First Nations clothing label Ngali; fashion illustrator and bestselling author, Megan Hess; renowned makeup and beauty expert, Nigel Stanislaus; and Adele Varcoe, artist, podcaster and lecturer in fashion design at RMIT.
