Celebrate Lunar New Year at Fed Square, with Lion and Dragon dances, followed by a special edition of Silent Cinema with Live Scores.
As part of our weeklong program of Silent Cinema with Live Scores, for Lunar New Year we’ll be screening the classic of silent era Chinese film, The Goddess (1934), accompanied by a new live score by celebrated Chinese-Australian musician Mindy Meng Wang and Golden Globe-winning film composer Burkhard Dallwitz.
Prior to the film and live music performance, you can enjoy vibrant and colourful Dragon and Lion dances, thanks to the Chinese Youth Society of Melbourne.
