Melbourne’s genre-defying trailblazers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will turn the Square into synth-city for a one-off, all-ages, free rave set.
It’s happening, Melbourne. The one you’ve been waiting for.
Melbourne’s own King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard will be playing their first show on home soil in over two years, swapping guitars for synths to deliver one of their now internationally legendary rave sets for the first time in Australia – free at Fed Square.
The prolific Melbourne-based music mavericks are true sound innovators, known for genre-hopping and bringing microtonal rock to the mainstream. Their rave sets are live electronic jams, bringing their innovative ethos to electronic music, for an epic dance party like you’ve never experienced before.
It’s live, unscripted and improvised, all using fully modular synths. It’ll be big, it’ll be ambitious, and it’ll be transformative.

From Panorama Bar to Boiler Room, Merve has lit up dance floors worldwide, cementing her status as one of Australia’s most exciting electronic artists.
This is an all-ages show, and everyone’s invited.
It’s time to dive into the chaos, lose yourself in the music, and experience what is set to be a gig for the ages.
