Goddess Weekend at ACMI

Exhibitions

Join ACMI for a jam-packed weekend of power, glamour and rebellion, with FREE live music, pop-up performances, workshops, screenings and more. ACMI shine a spotlight on local goddesses – business owners, filmmakers, creatives and screen industry shakers and innovators – to celebrate their achievements and inspire the next generation of trailblazers, agitators, and binary busters.

Hear expertise on a range of topics, including working in male dominant sections of the screen industry, making your own documentary film, running your own business and standing up to street harassment. Learn tips and tricks with make-up and hair demonstrations; take part in fashion, craft and dance workshops; enjoy improv comedy and live performances; and explore their blockbuster exhibition, Goddess: Power, Glamour and Rebellion.

All sessions are FREE, except: Smut: Goddess Edition by Sissy Screens; and exhibition entry to Goddess: Power, Glamour, Rebellion.
