Fondue Chalet returns this winter, transforming Fed Square into a glowing French Alpine village for a limited seven-week season.
Featuring 18 private wooden chalets, this immersive dining experience invites guests to escape to the French Alps and gather with friends, family or colleagues around authentic melted cheese. Warm lighting, wooden interiors and crackling fire pits recreate the atmosphere of a charming Alpine village, right in the heart of Melbourne.
Bringing genuine French tradition to the table, the experience is operated by a French team and served by French waiters, using authentic recipes and imported French cheeses. In the mountains of France, these dishes are more than meals, they are winter rituals that bring people together around the table.
New this year, guests are invited to make a delicious choice: fondue or raclette. Dip crusty bread into a bubbling pot of rich melted cheese, or grill cheese in your individual small pan and scraped over potatoes and charcuterie.
Whether discovering these iconic Alpine dishes for the first time or reliving a beloved French tradition, Fondue Chalet invites Melburnians to slow down, share a table and savour the joy of winter the French way.
