Flag at Half-Mast: The Honourable John Edward Delzoppo OAM

On 3 December the Australian Flag at Fed Square will be flown at half-mast to commemorate The Honourable John Edward Delzoppo OAM.

Mr Delzoppo served the electorate of Narracan as their local member of the Victorian Parliament from 1982 to 1996.

As part of the Liberal Kennett Government, Mr Delzoppo was the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly from 1992 to 1996.

During his time as a member of the Victorian Parliament, Mr Delzoppo served on a variety of committees, including the Member Legislative Assembly Standing Orders Committee and the Member Public Bodies Review Committee.

Following his retirement, Mr Delzoppo was the President of the Victorian Parliamentary Former Members Association from 2002 to 2015.
