Getting There

Fed Square is home to free live music and outdoor cinema, featuring a line-up of homegrown global superstars and international drawcards.

This summer at Fed Square features a curated program of film and music – with something new each night of the week.

The classics are back: expect silent films with live scores on Tuesdays, outdoor cinema on Wednesdays, and our By Candlelight program on Thursdays featuring original artists performing intimate live shows by the glow of thousands of twinkling candles. Thanks to our Summer at the Square partners Cebu Pacific and Melbourne Airport, you can also enjoy free popcorn during the outdoor cinema screenings on Wednesdays and enter a competition for your chance to win a trip for two to The Philippines.

Saturdays are for free live music for all, featuring big name local and international artists such as SIX60 and Sampa the Great, free opera and a brand-new Afro Caribbean Carnival.

And as Swiftmania takes over Melbourne, head to the Square to catch her alter-ego, Filipino drag star, Taylor Sheesh, as she brings her pop superstar energy to our Main Stage.

It’s time to get outside and enjoy a summer of sun, sound and cinema at the Square.

See you there!
