Getting There

March Fed Live brings us a night of get-on-your-feet hip-hop beats, featuring headliner Masked Wolf.

With over a billion Spotify streams, the status of most-globally-Shazamed song and the viral TikTok success of Astronaut in the Ocean, the hip-hop artist from Sydney has been riding high since the release of his debut album Astronomical in 2021.

Supported by the we-put-the-fun-in funk stylings of Big Twisty and Funknasty, rising Melbourne rapper Agung Mango, multi-slash South Sudanese Nairobi-born Australian DJ/producer/composer/rapper POOKIE and Darwin-born Sydney-based First Nations songwriter and rapper Kootsie Don – this Fed Live is going to be a hip-hop ripping ride.

We’ll also have food trucks on site throughout the evening for when you get peckish – Tacos LA will be giving away free tacos to the first 50 people from 5.30pm (limit of one offer per person).

Indigenous Australian rapper Kootsie Don is making waves with her unique blend of hip hop and R&B. From her small hometown of Darwin, Northern Territory, she has gained over 20,000 views on her YouTube music video and is known for her hard-hitting and motivating music, as well as soulful and catchy R&B tracks. Kootsie Don’s music appeals to a wide range of audiences and she aims to connect with people from diverse backgrounds through her music. With a style that ranges from edgy and tomboyish to sexy and feminine, Kootsie Don is a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

POOKIE is paving the way for independent artists in Australia with her unapologetic nature as she marches to her own beat through the music industry. With a background in painting, sketching, sculpting and poetry, POOKIE started performing spoken word poetry and formed a five-piece band in 2019. She later began studying production and music business and released her debut single in 2020, followed by her first project and a live studio album in 2021. POOKIE celebrates her South Sudanese roots and Western upbringing in her work and has gained recognition for her fierce bars and unique sound.
