After 2 years of interval, Celebrate India’s Victorian Festival of Diwali is returning in person to Fed Square, its iconic home, on Saturday 29th October with full grandeur and splendor.
Let us take you on a magical journey of India through the traditional and contemporary cultural feast – yoga and meditation; beats of drums; drama; breath-taking classical, folk and contemporary dance performances; workshops of Indian dancing for all and craft for children; games, henna painting, a bustling bazaar and authentic Indian street food. The festivities will culminate with spectacular fireworks on the Yarra River.
In support of National Breast Cancer Foundation, it will be a pink Diwali this year and the entire Fed Square precinct will be immersed in the colour pink.
A special photographic exhibition INDIA THROUGH THE LENS in the Atrium at Fed Square will be open for all to visit from 25-29 October.
A screening of GURU (2007, 154 minutes, PG) will be on the Big Screen from 5.30pm on 28 October.
Do come and join the festivities!
