Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)

Experience the magic of Dia de Muertos at the Atrium at Fed Square, where MexVic (the Mexican Social and Cultural Association of Victoria) will be celebrating life by honouring the dead.

The public, dressed in creative “Catrina” attire, will join the walk that will depart at 5:00 pm from the State Library and wind its way through the heart of Melbourne and culminate at The Atrium around 6pm.

A traditional ofrenda will be awaiting the community upon arrival in The Atrium, providing an opportunity to come together and celebrate the lives of those who have passed away. There will be traditional song and dance and, of course, deliciously traditional “pan de muerto” (sweet bread).
